Malaysia Internet Exchange (MyIX)
Malaysia Internet Exchange (MyIX) was launched on 15 December 2006. MyIX is a neutral internet exchange initiated by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) through cooperation of local Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to connect and exchange local Internet traffic without having to pass through international gateways. MyIX is managed by an executive management that comprises elected representatives of local Malaysian ISP, as well as content providers.

MyIX enables direct ISP connectivity within Malaysia, thus eliminating the need for ISP traffic to roundabout loops (using regional nodes) to connect with each other. By keeping boomerang traffic at minimum, MyIX improves latency between peering operators to achieve better quality of broadband service with more efficient internet data traffic handling.
